Don't you love superheroes? Don't you think that they are one of the most are inspiring creations ever devised by man? My pal Holly does. Just the other day whilst we were both helping an old Granny across the street - before mugging her - we were talking about this very subject. Why Batman is brilliant. Why Spiderman is Spectacular. And why Superman is just... err... super. Like Holly's website in fact. Here, check out our interview for the full Monty.

DC Super Heroes

1) In your own words Holly, how would you describe your fan-site, the  Well Jay, we pritty much love superheroes, in every way. Comics. Films. Artwork etc. And we have the latest news on every superhero you could want. We have over 20 different facebook pages as well as our sites Facebook page 'We Love Worldofsuperheroes' that has constant content daily. As well as the latest news and discussion, we have superhero related competition, galleries, everything really.

2) What are your own origins, and what was the path you took to get where you are today?  I packed and boxed our comic book collection a few years back, before the website was up and running and our owner, and my father, Steve, made a successful career in the metal industry. He has been a superhero fan and collector for over 40 years now, and is very happy that he can share his riches with his family. So it's a family business in a way. I went to Art College for two years while working part time for the site and once I had finished my diploma, I started working full time as a Writer for the site. Learning over the past year and a half since the site went live, I came to being the Head Writer and Editor for all the posts as well as Head Admin for all the facebook pages. That's basically my story...

3) What piece of music, movie, or object, would you say your site was like, and why? I'm not sure how to answer that questions to be honest. I mean our site is like a cool big brother that you can go to for all the latest news on superheroes.

4) Do you have any amusing stories you can tell us about? Also, have you had any media recognition. We sure have. Recently we were in 'The Star' newspaper, page 3, for having the Avengers #1 comics an on attended the Sheffield Cineworlds Avengers Premeire on the, 19th of April. We greeted the other fans queuing up for the film with FREE superhero comics as well as taking down our life-size statue of Iron-man...

We have 10 stunning original commisioned paintings from one of our featured artists, MUTE, with old and new actors. We have interviewed and befriended dozens of up-comng and talented artists.

Also, we have made lots of friends at different comic companies, including N.A.S Studios, KBoftheZH, Bluewater Comics and Darkslinger comics.

5) What superhero would you most want to be Holly? And why?  I was just talking about this the other day with someone, I am a big Batman fan but I have always loved Spider-Man. I read the comics and he grabbed me more than any other hero. I connected with him as a teenager and have ever since. Also the suit is awesome!

6) If your website was a ‘singleton’ looking for a ‘date’, who would that date be and why?  Our site, in itself, is a massive superhero geek full of knowledge, film news and loves artwork. So I would say our site would like an exciting date with someone who would enjoy it's love for superhero stories. I think going to the cinema and seeing a superhero blockbuster would be a perfect date...

7) If you was stuck on a desert island, and you could only bring one comic book with you, what comic would that be, and why would you want to bring it? Haha. If I could only have one, I would take one of my favourite Ultimate Spider-Man comics. I love the artwork and story lines... but it wouldn't last me long on a desert island...

8) What is one thing you would like to change about societies view on comic books? I would just like comics to be advertised more instead of just the films. TV is definitely slowly pushing reading away. DC and Marvel, along with all comic companies, have amazing original artwork and stories that children and adults miss out on. The backbones of superheroes is that people should help each other and good should triumph over evil. In a perfect world that happens but we all know that's not reality.

9) In your own opinion, what is the most faithful comic book / movie adaptation? Cartoons / Live action. I think the 1978, Superman film, has been one of the most beloved film adaptions in history. Christopher Reeve played Clark Kent / Superman perfectly, and I don't think anyone has been able to be as true to the character as he did.

One other thing. The Batman LIVE show that is currently on a world tour. Is an amazing LIVE show that is the best adaption of Batman I have ever seen.

My God Holly. You are every fan-boys dream comic book girl come to life. Plus your website is great as well. So when you have the time dear reader, please visit, plus their facebook page. You won't be sorry that you did.
