ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE -- SMELL THE BLOOD, WATCH THE FILM

All Cheerleaders Die Cover Give me a 'B'... B. Give me a 'L'... L. Give me a 'O'... O. Give me another 'O'... O. Give me a... oh, sod it. Let's just forget about all this cheer-leading malarkey. When you've got the time, folks, please check out the following interview I did with my mate Andrew, who help develop an indie movie about some bloody cheerleaders. Literary bloody cheerleaders.

All Cheerleaders Die

Andrew van den Houten 1) What are your own origins, Andrew? Plus what path did you take in life prior to getting to where you are today?   I'm a New Yorker born and bread, and I grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Currently I live and work in Brookyln, and in the past I worked as an actor, and went to film school at Emerson, having been running on water ever since.

2) What inspired the creation of ‘All Cheerleaders Die’?   Mainly it was my relationship with Lucky McKee. I asked him what he wanted to do next, and he told me the title and gist of the story, so I said let's make it.

3) In your own words how would you describe this story?   Basically it's a sexy supernatural teen comedy about Cheerleaders that come back from the dead to avenge their deaths against the jocks.

4) If this film omitted a collective odor, what would it smell like and why?   Strawberry and pachouli. Cause there's plenty of lesbian hippy lov'n and jock ass kick'n goin' on. Our Cheerleading Zombies emulate a fruity pleasurable smell after they do their magic - ;)

5) If you could get a known celebrity – either living or dead – to promote this flick, who would you chose, and why would you want this particular person?   Alfred Hitchcock because he was a genius in making and especially promoting and marketing genre pics-:)

6) What song would you say best represents your wares and why?   "Look Out Young Son" by Grand Ole Party from the ACD soundtrack as it captures all the female bad-assery in one fell swoop.

7) What were the main obstacles you had to contend with along the way?   Like everything else in the independent film world, my bane was the limited time and money available to me.

8) If ‘Cheerleader’ had a motto, what do you think it would be?   Bloody hasn't been prettier-;)
