SICARIO - DRUGS IN MEXICO

Sicario Poster
Its pretty common knowledge that when someone regularly takes drugs they become... they become... they become... errrr... what do they become again? Damn. I forgot. Come on, google brain, think-think-think! What happens to someone when they take drugs? Become Mexican? No. Not that. That's far too glamorous. Oh, wait a minute! I suddenly remember: When someone takes drugs on a regular basis they start to become forgetful. Yes. That's it. Forgetful.

Now one of the main reasons why I'm telling you this, dear reader, is because, ironically enough, a couple of weeks back I forgot to post the following drug related infographic sent to me by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. 'Come on' they said, 'Stop messing about with your comic books, and start helping us promote our new film, SICARIO, as it's going to kick ass on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital platforms, when we release it on the 1st of February, 2016'.

But just like an idiot, I go and forget to post it, don't I! And the only reason I've remembered to post it now, is because Emily Blunt messaged me again about the... the... errr... hold on! I best not get into that now. That's a story for another day (Poxy high court summons).

So, starring Golden Globe nominee, Emily Blunt (Edge Of Tomorrow), Academy Award nominee, Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men), plus Academy Award winner, Benicio Del Toro (Inherent Vice), SICARIO is an unflinching journey into the deadly, volatile, and morally murky world of Mexican drug cartels, brought to us by the visionary film director, Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners).

Essentially this film evolves around the FBI agent, Kate Macer (Blunt), when she uncovers a Mexican cartel’s house of death, and is shocked to find a great injustice there, sending out shockwaves both on a personal and global level. Kate is then recruited to join a covert black ops mission headed by a mysterious Colombian operative known only as Alejandro (Del Toro) along with shadowy agent, Matt Graver (Brolin).

Despite trying to convince herself she's on a hunt for justice, Kate is thrust into the dark heart of a secret battleground that has swept up ruthless cartels, kill-crazy assassins, clandestine American spies, and thousands of innocents. The jagged line of the U.S. and Mexican border is now awash with some of the most pressing issues of our time: drugs, terror, illegal immigration, corruption, and an escalating swathe of violence that has left people on both sides frightened and vigilant. Here, check this out to find out more...
