NEW DVD'S THE KIDS CAN WATCH THIS SUMMER!

Summer Explosion Yes. That's right, folks. Summer is here again, and along with it, comes the all important question, 'Hey! What are we gonna watch?'. Well, fear not, fellow film fans, for I have a selection of newly released DVD's that'll brighten up your summer, regardless of age. So sit back, take a deep breath, and get a load of these releases hitting a screen near you.

Season 1 of the show consists of 52 episodes with volume 1 containing 14 of them. Over the coming months three more volumes in season 1 will follow, including 'Back to School' and 'Who Ghosts There', with every episode in the series containing a brand new Chipmunks song.

Alvin and his pal's will take us on a roller coaster ride of music, laughter, fun, and adventure, accompanied by the sassy Chipettes -- Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor. The series recounts the trials and tribulations of a single parent, David Seville, trying to raise six hyper-active Chipmunks. Like most parents, Dave's patience will be pushed to the limit, forcing him to end most sentences in “ALVINNN!!!”.

The year is 50 BC, and Gual is entirely occupied by the Roman army. Well, not entirety occupied, one small village still holds out against the invaders. So exasperated by the situation, Julius Caesar (voiced by Jim Broadbent) decides to change tactics. Since his armies are unable to prevail through force alone, Roman civilization itself will charm the barbaric Gauls into submission. And to do this, he has a luxurious housing complex built near the village for Roman families, called ‘The Mansions of the Gods’. 

Will our Gaulish friends resist the lure of easy money and Roman comforts? Or alternatively, will their village become a simple tourist attraction? No. Not if Asterix and Obelix have anything to say about it.

Based on the legendary gaming franchise, Ratchet & Clank the movie follows Ratchet, a foolhardy Lombax and the last of his kind, who grows up all alone, desperate to make something of himself. Upon meeting Clank, a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn, the pair decide to band together and lead the quest to stop the evil alien, Chairman Drek, who has designs on using a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets and taking over the galaxy.

With the fate of the universe on their shoulders, this unlikely pair embark on a whirlwind adventure through outer-space, where they learn about heroism, courage, and the importance of having a good friend by your side.
