TWO MARVELOUS BOOKS ABOUT MARVEL

Marvel BooksThere once were a couple of crooks, who were searching for the comedian, Mel Brooks. Until, one day, they said, no way, because they’d rather check out the following books. Or to be more specific about it, two books, focused on the characters featured in the Marvel Universe. Want to know more? Then please have a look at this...

Synopsis: 'The Moviemaking Magic of Marvel Studios: Heroes & Villains' is a brand new book that explains how Marvel Studios gave birth to a new age of superhero cinema. Well, not only does it present us with a vast array of exclusive photographs, sketches, and trivia, but in addition to this, it will also allow us to find out how those behind-the-scenes transformed comic book characters into larger than life big screen icons. Icons, I hasten to add, that includes people like Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Ultron, and of course, click-click, Thanos, amongst others. Plus, as an extra added bonus, there are a number of sections that fold-out and reveal the magic of some of the most memorable moments seen within the MCU.

What I Thought Of It: If you're a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe then you should definitely check out this book because it will keep you occupied with a lot of facts, a lot of photos, and a lot of fun, until the next phase of films finally comes out. I mean, did you know that in ‘Iron Man 2’, a Captain America comic book can be seen inside Howard Stark’s suitcase? Or for that matter, in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy (Volume One)’, there are a number of notable creatures stored inside The Collector’s chamber, including a Chitauri soldier, Cosmo the Dog, and Howard the Duck? I also loved looking through those little bonus sections too, as they felt special somehow, secretive even, largely due to their lavish presentation and the way they elegantly folded out. So, overall, I’d say this book was a really interesting read, and I’m sure you will have a better time picking it up than Thor’s hammer!

What I Thought Of It: 'A' is for 'Avenger', 'B' is for 'Book', and 'C' is for 'Children’s Book about The Avengers', which this book most definitely is. Although, to be fair, there are many other heroes featured in it as well, such as Ego, Okoye, and Pepper Potts, to name but a few. More importantly, though, dear reader, it’s well illustrated, well designed, and well fun to read. In fact, this book was so much fun, that I had an argument with my four-year-old nephew because he wanted me to give it to him whereas I wanted to keep it for myself. After all, it was very nicely put together, and was more entertaining than season eight of ‘Game of Thrones’! A lot more logical too, keeping in mind that each page teaches kids the alphabet in a bold and progressive way that’s as simple as 1, 2, 3. So go on, what are you waiting for? Buy one for a brat today. Just not my brat, ok?
