FIVE REASONS WHY ROBERT PATTINSON MIGHT BE A GOOD BATMAN

Robert Pattinson's BatmanAt the end of May, 2019, it was announced that Robert Pattinson is going to play the title character in Matt Reeves' new Batman movie. But, if truth be told, not a lot of people are entirely sure if he’ll be able to pull it off. Well, except for me, of course, saying so because I’ve devised the following list which justifies my brave and bold claim. Here, check this out...

1) He Starred in Twilight.

Robert Pattinson first rose to fame when he played Edward Cullen in the Twilight series of films. There were five films in total, and each one was focused on a variety of different emotional themes, such as life, death, love, drama, and rebirth. So, in many ways, Robert has had an adequate amount of experience playing the same character, time and time again. A character, I hasten to add, that was transformed after his parents tragically passed away by becoming a father, a rebel, a team member, as well as an iconic figure Batman was partially based on, a vampire

2) He Dated Kristen Stewart.

When it comes down to matters of the heart, both Bruce Wayne and Robert Pattinson seem to have the same thing in common. They can’t seem to find a deep and meaningful relationship. After all, Batman has famously pursued Catwoman for many, many years, even though she’s a thief who can’t play it straight. Whereas Robert has famously pursued Kristen Stewart for many, many years, even though she’s a bisexual who can’t seem to smile.

3) He was Brought Up in an Old Part of London.

By and large, the word ‘Gotham’ is commonly associated with both Batman and New York City, despite the fact that it originated from an old English word meaning, ‘homestead, where goats are kept’! (Keeping in mind that ‘gāt’ means ‘goat’, and ‘hām’ means ‘home’). Coincidentally, Robert was brought up in a part of London that’s also associated with ‘Old England’, namely, Barnes, southwest London, which is generally known for its Georgian and Victorian architecture, its old churches, and its strong ties to the River Thames.

4) He Once had a Secret Identity.

In his late teens, Robert was a wannabe musician who'd perform gigs with his acoustic guitar at open mic nights held in pubs and clubs in and around London. He would normally try to sing material he composed by himself, either with his band, ‘Bad Girls’, or on his own, under the stage name, Bobby Dupea. So, as you can see, Robert is fairly familiar with dual identities, playing it solo, or working as part of a team. Similar, in fact, to a certain Dark Knight, who has an alter ego, a solitary edge, and an association with the Justice League.

5) He’s an Actor.

To some extent, Batman is the ultimate method actor because he manages to channel a certain portion of his innermost being in order to truly believe that he is somebody else. Robert, on the other hand, is also a method actor, and over the years he’s used this technique in a number of different films, such as 'High Life', 'Cosmopolis', and 'The Lost City of Z'.

So, there you have it, folks. Five reasons why Roberto Patticake should be able to play that man with the ears. So, what do you think? Do you think I’m talking out of my bat signal or could I be onto something big? Either way, please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
