WHO'S THE MOST VILLAINOUS ACTRESS IN HOLLYWOOD?

Did you know that 9% of all women are evil witches while 12% are seductive thieves? Well, according to a study carried out by those lovable goons over at Casino Kings, most women are either killers, corrupt, or Glenn Close, but only when they appear on the silver screen and get paid for the privilege. Allegedly. I think. Touch wood. Fingers crossed. Please don’t kill me, Mummy. Ha!





Seriously though, folks, quite recently, this online betting emporium has taken it upon themselves to examine over one thousand movie bios and storylines in order to find out who’s the most villainous movie actress of all time. What now follows are some of the results of these findings, primarily from their top 10 list.

• Glenn Close comes in at the number one spot because she’s played a villain more than any other actress, totaling 29% of her movies to date.
• 60% of the top 10 are brunettes and 40% are blondes.
• White women are generally a popular choice to play female villains, especially white women who are over the age of mind-your-own-business.
• A high forehead seems to be a fairly constant characteristic amongst villainous actresses, even though it’s an even split if they have either blue or brown eyes.
• Out of the top 10, eight actresses come from the United States and only two come from the United Kingdom: Helena Bonham Carter and Rachel Weisz.

The following leaderboard shines a spotlight on the top 10 most popular villainous actresses in the movies. It takes into account the amount of movies each actress has featured in and the total number of villainous roles they’ve played so far, resulting in a ‘villain score’ that highlights how often they’ve played a female villain (calculated in percentages). But please note, it disregards cameo appearances, short films, uncredited roles, documentaries, voice roles, post-production work, and any up and coming projects.

Casino Kings have also analyzed the types of roles that the top 10 most villainous actresses have previously played. Perhaps unsurprisingly, ‘cheating partner’ takes the top spot with 16 appearances (out of a total of 73), whereas joint second goes to that of ’a thief’ or ‘a corrupt authority figure’.
