THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE ACTORS WITH CONSISTENT CHOICES

Rob SchneiderHave you ever wondered why certain actors always appear in bad films while others always appear in more worthwhile projects? I have, quite often in fact, and each time I think about this, I try to remember that acting, the actual process of acting, is based on a lie. Or to be more specific about it, an actor’s lie that tries to persuade people into believing something that isn’t real or true.

So, to some extent, you could say most actors live in a world of their own, a fantasy world, so to speak, which kind of explains why their choices can sometimes be good and sometimes be bad. Not that this is a reflection on their abilities, of course, or their inability to pick the right roles at the right time. After all, taste is subjective, and in large part, there are many other factors that go into the making of a successful film, such as the script, the budget, the direction, and the topics trending at the time of development.

Now, to illustrate my initial point, I’d like to draw your attention to a recent study carried out by bingofind.com, a study that compiled a list of review scores from Metacritic in order to determine which actors and actresses appear in more bad or good movies. It’s important to remember, though, that these review scores come from professional movie critics, not the general moviegoing public, so that’s something else you have to consider when checking out the following two lists. Please enjoy.

At the top of our worst-reviewed film-list is the former SNL cast member, Rob Schneider, who's appeared in critically panned movies such as ‘Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo’, ‘The Hot Chick’, and ‘Grown Ups’, to name but a few. He's then followed by Hilary Duff ('The Perfect Man'), Freddie Prinze Jr. ('Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed'), and Nick Swardson ('Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star'), which goes to show that the people who compiled this list really did their job properly ๐Ÿ˜œ.

Now, at the other end of the spectrum, there are a number of actors who constantly achieve critical acclaim and success, such as Daniel Day-Lewis, for instance, who hit it big with 'My Left Foot', 'There Will Be Blood', and 'Lincoln'. Daniel is then followed by Mathieu Amalric ('Munich') and Adam Driver ('Silence'), otherwise known as two great actors with dirty hair, as well as Carey Mulligan ('Pride & Prejudice'), who isn't dirty but does have hair ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

In closing, I’d like to thank bingofind for allowing me to use their resources in this article, before encouraging you to check out their website and twitter pages.
