James Bond StampsTo celebrate the 25th James Bond film produced by Eon Productions, entitled, ‘No Time to Die’, the Royal Mail have issued a brand new series of stamps depicting different versions of 007, seen throughout the years. There are 10 stamps in total, and each one boasts an innovative design taken directly from the source, such as the opening title sequence normally shown at the start of each film. Want to know more? Then please check this out...

1) Casino Royale (2006)
Starring: Daniel Craig, Eva Green, and Judi Dench

Casino Royale

Filmic Fact: To prepare himself for the role of Bond, Daniel Craig quit smoking, changed his diet, and gained twenty pounds of muscle. He also read all of the novels written by Ian Fleming and talked with members of Mossad and agents from the British Secret Service.

2) GoldenEye (1995)
Starring: Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, and Famke Janssen

GoldenEye

Filmic Fact: This was the first James Bond film released on DVD and the last James Bond film seen by the pioneer of this franchise, Cubby Broccoli.

3) The Living Daylights (1987)
Starring: Timothy Dalton, Maryam d’Abo, and Jeroen Krabbé

The Living Daylights

Filmic Fact: A number of different actors were considered to play the part of Bond before Timothy Dalton was chosen to play him in this film. Some of the other candidates, included, Sam Neill, Pierce Brosnan, Christopher Reeve, Christopher Lambert, Sean Bean, and Mel Gibson, to name but a few.

4) Live and Let Die (1973)
Starring: Roger Moore, Yaphet Kotto, and Jane Seymour

Live And Let Die

Filmic Fact: According to Roger Moore, Yaphet Kotto was very difficult to work with while they were both making this movie. Although, according to Yaphet, he wasn’t difficult, yet he was quiet because he wanted to be courteous to those people around him.

5) On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
Starring: George Lazenby, Diana Rigg, and Telly Savalas

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service

Filmic Fact: Now, depending on who you listen to, there’s a variety of different reasons why George Lazenby played Bond only once, ranging from the bad press he received in the UK, to the skiing accident he had on the slopes, to the arguments he had with his fellow co-stars and the Broccolis.

6) Goldfinger (1964)
Starring: Sean Connery, Gert Fröbe, and Honor Blackman

Goldfinger

Filmic Fact: It has often been speculated that Ian Fleming partly based the character of Goldfinger on a German spy who once tried to rob the Bank of England during World War I. This spy wasn’t called Goldfinger, though, because Ian got that name from the architect, Ernö Goldfinger, who allowed him to use it for an undisclosed fee.

Now the remaining four stamps in this collection feature some of the iconic vehicles developed by Q Branch. This includes the Lotus Esprit S1 Submarine from the 1977 action-adventure, 'The Spy Who Loved Me', the Autogyro from the 1967 classic, 'You Only Live Twice', the Bell-Textron Jet Pack from the 1965 thriller, ‘Thunderball’, and the Aston Martin DB5 from the 2012 James Bond film, ‘Skyfall’. You also might like to know that these four stamps feature a hidden specification that can be revealed under a UV light, along with a special 007 perforation around the edges.
