WHAT'S THE MOST CHRISTMASSY FILM OF ALL TIME?

GrinchJingle Bells. Orson Welles. All good films are grey. But only if you watch them in the dark with a nice glass of Chardonnay. Hey! Jingle Bells. Flatulence smells. There’s nothing more to say. Although it would be fairly nice if you checked out the following survey!  Or to be more specific about it, a survey conducted by OnBuy, which features a selection of the most festive Christmas films ever made.

Well, not so long ago, our pals over at OnBuy.com decided to find out what’s currently the most Christmassy film of all time. In order to do this, though, they first conducted a survey which asked fans (2,987 fans) what’s the best Christmas film they’ve ever, ever seen, and then once their answers were collated, the top 16 films in their selection were awarded either one, two, or three points based on a specific criteria. For instance:

It’s a wonderful life
Three points
were awarded to a film each time ‘Ho Ho Ho’ was said, each time a Christmas song was sung, each time a Christmas Tree and/or presents appeared in a scene, each time Santa showed up on the screen, or each time a scene had someone come down a chimney

Two points, on the other hand, were awarded to a film for each scene that featured Christmas outfits, each scene with a sleigh and/or a reindeer in it, each scene with Christmas decorations on display, or each time the word ‘Christmas’ or ‘Santa’ was said.

And finally, One point was awarded to a film for each scene which showcased snow or snow-related activities, each scene with carol singers in it, each scene featuring a kiss under the mistletoe, or each scene with Christmas-related food and drinks.

Now, the 16 films they incrementally scrutinized included: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), Dr. Seuss' the Grinch (2018), Miracle on 34th Street (1994), The Polar Express (2004), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Love Actually (2003), Nativity! (2009), It's a Wonderful Life (1946), Jingle All the Way (1996), The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), Elf (2003), Home Alone (1990), Deck the Halls (2006), Scrooged (1988), Jack Frost (1998), and White Christmas (1954).

So, with all that said, I would now like you to sit back, relax, and check out…
