WHICH LUCKY ACTOR HAS PLAYED THE MOST UNLUCKY ROLES?

Have you ever wondered why the vast majority of actors continually play unlucky film roles, even though they themselves are very lucky people? I have, quite often, in fact, only to surmise that most of them must constantly crave sympathy because they’re a bunch of narcissistic nutters who perpetually yearn for attention.

Ha! I’m only joking, folks, as in all seriousness, I suspect that most actors are fairly fine people, in part, despite it being rather surprising that some of them enjoy playing characters who live unhappy lives. So much so, that my mates over at Top Rated Casinos have decided to devise a simple methodology so they can discover which lucky actor has played the most unlucky roles.

Now, the first thing they did, was to compile a list of popular Hollywood film stars based on the amount of money their movies made at the box office. But only those movies where they had a starring role, main player, and calculated using domestic revenue only (which was accumulated accordingly).

Next, they carefully selected the five most successful films for all of these actors in order to analyze the corresponding scripts and count the number of times something negative was mentioned: Including things like, the number of times someone’s jailed, attacked, hurt, divorced, died, and involved in an accident, along with the number of deaths experienced by each character each actor has played. 

And finally, once all of this data was put together, each actor was ranked from one to whatever by assigning each ‘unfortunate incident’ a score and then calculating those scores using a min-max normalization technique. Meaning, those with the most points, played the most characters that were unlucky, whereas those with the least points, played the least.
