DEL BOY AND BATMAN JOIN FORCES WITH SCALEXTRIC

Bat-Del and Rob-neyNow, out of curiosity, do you know what the classic British sitcom, 'Only Fools and Horses', and the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin, both have in common? Aside from the fact that they were amalgamated into the following scene first broadcast by the BBC on the 25th of December, 1996!

Well, to answer this question, I would like to draw your attention to a selection of amazing model cars that have been designed and packaged by Scalextric UK. The first model car was based on the classic 1966 version of the Batmobile (which was made famous through its numerous appearances on the sixties 'Batman' television show), while the other two models were based on the Reliant Regal and the Ford Capri Mk III (which likewise hit it big via their appearances on the BBC sitcom, 'Only Fools and Horses'). Now for a quick rundown, here, have a look at this...

Trivia: The Batmobile from the 1966 live-action TV show was originally designed by the famous Hollywood customizer, George Barris, who managed to bring this vigilant vehicle to life by adapting a concept car developed by Ford. The car was a 1955 Lincoln Futura, and according to George, he purchased it for just one dollar.
