The Many Faces of NehemiahNehemiah Persoff is a retired character actor from America who has appeared in more than 200 television shows, films, and plays throughout his 50+ years working in the entertainment industry. This includes starring in the 1959 Billy Wilder comedy classic, 'Some Like It Hot', the James Arness led TV Western, 'Gunsmoke', as well as Barbra Streisand's 1983 musical drama, 'Yentl'. He's also an avid artist who has recently written a book about his long and illustrious career. Nehemiah Persoff Painter1) Nehemiah, name three words that best describe who you are.   I'd say, angry, afraid, and hopeful.

2) How would you describe your book, 'The Many Faces of Nehemiah'?   In many ways, it's a love letter to all of those people who are struggling to find themselves.

3) What song would you say best represents your book and why?   To answer this question, I'd like to select the Jewish folk song, 'Hava Nagila', because roughly translated into English, it means, 'let's be happy'.

4) If you could get a celebrity – either living or dead – to promote your wares, who would you choose, and why would you want to choose this particular person?
   I'd like to choose Barack Obama, as he's such a bright and honorable individual.

5) What do you think is the most surprising thing about your book?   Well, what surprises me the most is how my personal story has become such a sensation!
