BLACK BOY'S BLUES: FUNNY MONEY - AN EIGHT PAGE PREVIEW

On the 28th of June, 2018, a madman entered the offices of the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, and killed several people who worked there with a shotgun. Fortunately, one member of staff, R.D. Hunter, managed to jump ship just before this tragedy occurred. But in doing so, his escape caused him to spend the next few years of his life wondering what would have happened if he was there at the time. Well, could he have done something to save his colleagues? Or could he have ended up dead instead? In any event, Hunter was so overwhelmed with so many conflicting emotions that he eventually decided to channel his energies in a more positive direction.





Or in other words, he decided to make a comic book. But not just any normal comic book, because this one would allow him to chronicle his experiences in a very therapeutic manner. In fact, creating this comic was so therapeutic, that over time he created a whole series of short stories that he posted online for free. For instance... 👇 👀

For the past year, Hunter has written about terrible, yet self-affirming, events in his life that he freely publishes online. However, hiring artists at fair wages isn't cheap, and he's finally reached a point where it's no longer sustainable to fund this ongoing project with hardly any cash.
