LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE - EMBRACING ANOTHER ONLINE VIDEO PLATFORM

VersesSince 2020, I've been creating videos and then uploading them onto YouTube in order to inform people about the variety of different articles published on my site. Generally, my videos will consist of a quick animation that showcases either a comic or a popular movie, and sometimes, they contain a comic book review or a public domain film. Recently, however, my YouTube channel has been experiencing a few difficulties due to certain videos being flagged for their 'improper use'. Or as I like to call it, 'unforeseen bullsh*t'.

Well, as many of you may know, I have a visual condition (click here to read more) that hinders me from using a computer in a conventional manner. So, to overcome my ailments, I frequently utilize a screen reader (or some other type of software) to aid me in producing content. But from time to time, when using this type of software, mistakes can happen. Mistakes like uploading a film onto YouTube that I initially thought was in the public domain (naughty, naughty, screen reader), but then discovered that it was owned by a production company when someone affiliated imposed a strike against my channel. Not the video, my YouTube channel (😱), even though I aptly informed both parties about my unforeseen oversight (excuse the obvious pun), and was willing to provide evidence about my long-term condition and initial source of information.

So, after many attempts at contacting companies that have continually ignored my correspondence, either through choice or through neglect, I've decided to turn to another platform with the hope that I can grow an audience elsewhere. Namely, Rumble, which according to its Wikipedia page, is a popular online video platform that was first founded in 2013 and is able to monetize people's videos. Having said that, though, I'm still going to try to get my YouTube channel reinstated. But in the meantime, I might as well share my work by using the aforementioned alternate method. This includes…

Comic Book Trailers: Which I make for both independent and mainstream comic books.

Slideshows: Which feature a selection of images pertaining to a specific topic or theme.

Movie Snapshots: Which shines a spotlight on a certain movie with the use of relevant pictures.

Comic Book Reviews: Which I try to produce at least once a month.

Tributes: Which commemorate celebrities who are no longer with us.

So there you have it, folks. A quick look at my new Rumble account that I sincerely hope you subscribe to. It's free to join and you can even earn money by watching the large variety of different videos Rumble has on its platform.
