Synopsis: Donají is a fearless Zapotec girl who one day embarks on a quest to find her missing father. But in doing so, she unexpectedly meets a number of interesting individuals during her travels. This includes a 17-year-old winged Mexica warrior named Itzcacalotl, who's happy to accompany Donaji on her quest, as well as a horrifying bat monster, who threatens an entire village.
Don't worry, though, because Donají, Itzcacalotl, and the god that lives inside of Donaji's poncho, all confront this beast and then try to discover why Donají's father disappeared in the first place. But will they succeed? Or will their efforts fall by the wayside? Well, to find out...
About the creators: Camilo Moncada Lozano is a Mexican artist who currently lives in Mexico City. He loves crows, mythology, and Japanese culture, as well as creating characters and telling their respective stories (with 'Codex Black' being just one of them). Angel De Santiago, on the other hand, was born and partly raised in Mexico but now lives in Texas. He's a colorist by trade, and he enjoys coloring scenes featuring beautiful landscapes, surreal designs, and horror, especially if it imbues each one with the appropriate atmosphere, emotion, and mood.
