TIDALWAVE TRIVIA: A SPOTLIGHT ON KEVIN FEIGE

Kevin Feige - 1 On May 27, 2026, TidalWave Comics released a new biographical comic book devoted to the life and career of Kevin Feige, the American producer and current president of Marvel Studios. Aptly titled, 'Fame: Kevin Feige: Mastermind Behind the MCU', the aforementioned comic book was written by me, David Lee Andrews, and illustrated by Roe Mêsquita. Today, I will present a selection of tantalizing trivia I wasn't able to include, along with a few images from the comic. Please enjoy.

1) City of Stars: Kevin and several notable actors were all born in the same city, including Uma Thurman, Edward Norton, Eliza Dushku, and Leonard Nimoy. The city is Boston, and it's located in the American state of Massachusetts.

2) Grimm Origins: Kevin's ancestry hails from England and Germany, with part of his family originating from Kassel, Hesse, which is where the Brothers Grimm wrote most of their stories.

3) Hats Off: While he was in junior high school, Kevin's vice principal warned him that he could go bald if he continued to wear a hat. But Kevin ignored this warning and eventually lost his hair, mainly due to genetics rather than wearing his signature baseball caps.

4) Quick Cameos: In a deleted scene from the superhero film, 'X-Men', released in July 2000, Kevin portrayed a Weapon X technician who pulled Wolverine's claws out of the oven. He also made his comic book debut in 'X-Men' #21 (Volume 5), cover-dated August 2021, where Kevin is seen attending a party at the Hellfire Gala.

5) Preserved in Iron: One of Kevin's films has been selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being 'culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant'. That film is 'Iron Man', which he produced in 2008 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeff Bridges.

6) Give Him a Hand: In the 1980 science fiction epic, 'Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back', Luke Skywalker dramatically lost a hand during a battle with his fallen father, Darth Vader. As an avid fan of the franchise, Kevin decided that every MCU Phase Two film would feature a character losing a hand or arm.

7) What's Up, Doc?: In 2023, Kevin was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Southern California. Then, in the following year, 2024, he was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, situated in front of the historic El Capitan Theatre.
