Gunty's War'Gunty's War' is a 570-page novel about one man's quest to become an actor in Hollywood (circa 1920), until he suddenly gets sucked into a whirlwind adventure involving Nazis, bureaucrats, and a number of world-famous celebrities. Want to know more? Then please check out the following Q&A I did with the author of this book, Michael Levenson. Enjoy.

1) Name three words that best describe who you are.   I don't need three words to describe who I am because I only need one... OLD! Although, between you and me, I do have a motto I frequently use... 'The show ain’t over till the fat lady sings'.

2) What inspired you to write 'Gunty's War'?
Well, going to the movies for the past 75 years helped me quite a lot.

3) In your own words, how would you describe this story?   It's my homage to the Golden age of cinema.

4) What song would you say best represents this book?   To answer this question I'd like to select the song Doris Day sung in the 1948 classic, 'Romance on the High Seas', entitled, 'It's Magic'.

5) If you could get a celebrity – either living or dead – to promote your wares, who would you choose, and why would you want to choose this particular person?   Well, because of his love of cinema and his great filmography, I'd like to choose the one and only, Steven Spielberg.

6) What have you learned about yourself while writing this book?
That I should have started writing it decades ago, ha!
