1) Name three words that best describe who you are.   I don't need three words to describe who I am because I only need one... OLD! Although, between you and me, I do have a motto I frequently use... 'The show ain’t over till the fat lady sings'.

2) What inspired you to write 'Gunty's War'?   Well, going to the movies for the past 75 years helped me quite a lot.

3) In your own words, how would you describe this story?   It's my homage to the Golden age of cinema.

4) What song would you say best represents this book?   To answer this question I'd like to select the song Doris Day sung in the 1948 classic, 'Romance on the High Seas', entitled, 'It's Magic'.

5) If you could get a celebrity – either living or dead – to promote your wares, who would you choose, and why would you want to choose this particular person?   Well, because of his love of cinema and his great filmography, I'd like to choose the one and only, Steven Spielberg.

6) What have you learned about yourself while writing this book?   That I should have started writing it decades ago, ha!

Michael Levenson has lived in the UK and the United States and spent most of his working life in the licensed trade, including many years as the parliamentary chairman of the 'Licensed Victuallers Association'.
