TIDALWAVE SPOTLIGHT: BARON MISURACA

Bela and BaronEvery Friday, since 2018, I've been posting a series of previews that showcase the comic books published by TidalWave Comics. Sometimes, these comics are biographies focused on famous people, such as Ozzy Osbourne, for instance, the English rocker, and at other times, they're bold and daring adventures starring fresh, new, characters. Want to know more? Then please check out the following interview I did with one of the writers that works at TidalWave, Baron Misuraca, who’s also the star of his own comic book.

1) Name three words that best describe who you are.   Passion, compassion, and determination.

In Flesh And Spirit - 1
2) What's it like working at TidalWave?
Well, so far, I've only written one comic book for them, 'In Flesh and Spirit', but it's been a blast working with Darren Davis (the head of TidalWave), as I have him in stitches with my corny vampire puns!

3) How did you first become involved with TidalWave?   I first met Darren through Chris McAuley (the colorist on 'Flesh'), because one day I jokingly asked him if he knew of a good publisher, which he did, and so here we all are.

4) What song best describes your style of creativity and why?   I'd like to select the Frank Sinatra song, 'Witchcraft', as I tend to create things that are fairly dark and heavy and often find myself spellbound when I do.

5) If you could get a celebrity – either living or dead – to promote your wares, who would you choose and why?
To answer this question, I'd like to pick the legendary actor, Bela Lugosi, because he's been a big influence on what I do and he's always had such a great delivery!

6) Do you have any other projects lined up outside of TidalWave?   Yes, as I've created a new promo video for 'In Flesh and Spirit' that features a lot of morbid computer-generated art. I also intend to return to world touring with my band, 'Carnivore A.D.', and will be debuting a new musical side project, entitled, 'Motorplasma'!

And on that note, I would like to thank Baron for telling us about working at TidalWave Comics, before encouraging you to check out his Facebook, Instagram, and Amazon pages.
