About the author: James Kochalka is an artist who lives in Burlington, Vermont, with his wife, Amy, and their two sons. He's probably best known for creating the 'Monkey vs Robot' series of books, the 'Johnny Boo' series of books, as well as his magnum opus, 'American Elf'. James has also recorded several music albums under the name, James Kochalka Superstar, and he's developed animated cartoons for Nickelodeon and Cartoon Hangover. In 2011, he was appointed as the first official Cartoonist Laureate for the state of Vermont.
