FOUR REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN THE MANDALORIAN CLASSIC COIN

Mandalorian classic coin - CoverSince the first Star Wars movie was released in 1977, namely, 'Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope', fans of the franchise have tried their best to get their hands on anything connected to the series. This includes items like action figures, t-shirts, trading cards, statues, props, comic books, and any other related memorabilia.

But why? Why are fans so eager to pick up Star Wars collectibles? Well, to find out, let's take a look at The Mandalorian Classic Coin in order to provide a couple of answers.

1) Preserves a Legacy: Throughout the years, coins have been used as legal tender as well as a great way of honoring the legacy of a notable public figure/celebrity, such as Queen Elizabeth II, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and George Washington, to name but a few. So, what better way of honoring the legacy of the Mandalorians than by immortalizing their image on the side of a 1/4oz pure gold coin! After all, they're a group of highly skilled warriors who've managed to rival the power of the Jedi by developing armor and weapons that can oppose their abilities.

2) Complements an Existing Collection: The Mandalorian Classic Coin comes with a high-quality coin case, housed inside a Star Wars-themed box. So, aesthetically, it will blend with an existing collection and not look out of place alongside other Star Wars memorabilia.

3) Financially Rewarding: It's been known that investing in Star Wars-themed products and memorabilia can sometimes pay off. In 2021, for instance, the first issue of the 1977 Star Wars comic book was sold at auction for $19,800. Whereas this year, 2022, a prototype of a Boba Fett action figure was sold at auction for over $200,000.

4) Design and Exclusivity: As I mentioned before, The Mandalorian Classic Coin is comprised of 1/4oz pure gold. So, as legal tender, it's a pretty decent investment, regardless of what some people might think about the Star Wars franchise. What I haven't mentioned, though, is that on one side of the coin is an engraved close-up of the mighty Mandalorian in full battle gear, while on the other, is the engraved Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. It also comes with a unique number and a certificate of authenticity. But please note, there are only 500 pieces available, which makes The Mandalorian Classic Coin a highly sought-after item.

“You have something I want. You may think you have some idea of what you have in your possession, but you do not. Soon, he will be back with me. He means more to me than you will ever know”. – The Mandalorian Season 2, Chapter 15: 'The Believer'

In Conclusion: According to the musician, Adam Clayton, 'There are two types of collector. There are those who are quite academic and get into the archaeology of finding the earliest example of a particular idea. Then there are those interested in what's new'. But as far as I'm concerned, no, I disagree, in part, as I think there are four different types of collector. One type is only interested in the money. Another type is only interested in the art. The third type is only interested in preserving history. And the final type isn't a real collector at all. But rather, an addict, an addict that needs to fill a void that's been caused by the ravages of time! Although, having said that, some collectors are a combination of all of these types, and in each individual case, they have to find a way to understand what is truly valuable – both emotionally and financially – or else, they won't be able to appreciate what they are collecting or why they are collecting it.

What do you think, dear reader? What do you think about people who regularly collect items and memorabilia devoted to a certain franchise, company, or theme? Well, do you agree with my quick conclusion? (fingers crossed!) Or do you think I'm completely wrong? (spit!) Either way, please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section below, and while you're at it, don't forget to check out The Mandalorian Classic Coin as well as some of the other Star Wars products now available (click links provided), some of which feature different characters from the franchise, such as Grogu, BB-8, and Ahsoka Tano.
