DESTINATION SHARON - AN INTERVIEW WITH MYSELF

Sharon - 1After many, many years of reading comic books, collecting comic books, and occasionally, reviewing comic books, I've finally decided to create one of my own. Although, to be fair, I didn't create this comic book all by myself, because once I wrote the story, I was then able to complete it with some help from the artist, Rod Rodollfo, the letterer, Nikki Leigh, and the publisher, Oneshi Press. It will be featured in an anthology (alongside 16 other stories) and will be available in a variety of different formats. Want to know more? Then please check out the following Q and A I did with... uhhh... myself (no you didn't).

Forbidden planet

1) Name three words that best describe who you are.   I'd say, creative, considerate, and c*nt.

Sharon - 2
2) What inspired you to create your story, 'Sharon'?   Originally, I wrote my story for an English satirical magazine that requested fictitious deleted scenes from well-known films. Mine was supposed to be a deleted scene from the 1979 Monty Python film, 'Life of Brian', and to cut another long story short, I eventually managed to transform it into 'Sharon' (with some help from those lovable loons over at Oneshi Press).

3) How would you describe your story?   I would normally describe my story with the use of words, but as I'm a silly sod, I think it would be best to describe it with emojis instead. These emojis... πŸŒ΄πŸ’‚⚔😠🍼🀣.

4) What song would you say best represents your story and why?   Well, as the title of my short story is called 'Sharon', I might as well select the Jackie Edwards song of the same name.

Sharon - 3
5) Why did you select the name 'Sharon'?   I was once very friendly with a nice lady called Sharon, and phonetically, it does rhyme with the name Karen (which I hear is a very popular name among women of a certain age).

6) What have you learned about yourself through this endeavor?   The one thing I've learned is how rewarding it can be to collaborate with others, especially since I generally work by myself (insert crude comment here).

Oneshi Press is currently raising funds on Kickstarter in order to publish the aforementioned anthology, entitled, 'Destinations'. So when you have the time, please feel free to check it out or visit the official Website, Facebook, and Twitter pages for Oneshi Press.
