THE BATMAN WORKOUT

Batman WorkoutHave you ever wondered what it would be like if you had a body similar to Batman's? A body that's muscular, well-proportioned, and fighting fit to combat crime in all of its various forms, ranging from a bold baddie like Bane all the way to a jaundiced jerk like the Joker. Well, if so, then you might like to check out the following three-step workout devised by the team over at Bulk, which can help you transform your physique to resemble the Dark Knight's fearless figure.

Step One) Leaning Out: To help increase your strength and stamina, it's suggested that you perform a number of compound lifts (deadlifts, bench presses, squats, shoulder presses, and pull-ups) because this type of exercise will allow you to train more than one muscle at a time and are generally time efficient.

Step Two) Hypertrophy: While increasing your strength and stamina, you also have to increase your muscle growth as well. So, to do this, hypertrophy training is recommended, as it focuses on expanding your muscles by lifting a series of weights in order to develop both the upper part and the lower part of your body. But please remember, you have to lift weights based on your level of fitness and make sure you allow ample recovery time between each session. For the average person, maintaining strength and stamina will correlate with maintaining muscle, so you should focus on hitting similar numbers on the compound lifts.

Step Three) Diet: Even though this particular workout gives you the freedom to choose your own foods (as opposed to a specially designed meal plan), guidelines suggest that you should increase your daily calorie intake by 5% to 10% as that would be sufficient to promote lean muscle growth. Ideally, you should try to consume lean meats, healthy fats, seeds, whole grains and oats, fruits and vegetables, and low-fat dairy products.

This three-step plan has been designed for a short 12 to 14 week period of sharp, intense training. But in the same breath, it's also sustainable for a much longer period of time.
