HOLLYWOOD'S HIGHEST-GROSSING ACTORS PER GENRE

Have you ever wondered which actor brings in the most money at the box office whenever they star in a particular genre of movie? Well, if so, then you might like to check out the following study to find out the answer.





You see, in June, 2022, the team over at Uswitch accessed the popular website, IMDb, so they could analyze the filmographies of over 1,000 actors and ascertain the genre of each film each actor has appeared in. Then once they did that, afterwards, they used these results to calculate what percentage of each actor's filmography consists of each genre, including genres like action, comedy, horror, and romance, so they could reveal the actors whose careers are most and least skewed towards one particular genre (along with the total worldwide box office revenue for each actor per genre).

But please note, actors who've passed away have been removed from these results as well as those who've appeared in less than ten films.
