Aptly titled, 'Fame: Clint Eastwood', the aforementioned comic book was written by me, David Lee Andrews, and illustrated by Diego Magno. Today, I will present a selection of tantalizing trivia I wasn't able to include, along with a few images from the comic. Please enjoy.

1) City of Stars: Clint was born in the same city as a number of other famous actors, including Bruce Lee, Natalie Wood, and Danny Glover. The city is San Francisco, and it's located in the American state of California.

2) No Horsing Around: Despite becoming one of cinema's most iconic cowboys, Clint is actually allergic to horses and other animals, such as cats and dogs. This first came to his attention at the start of his career, yet it hasn't stopped him from managing the allergy by taking medication and avoiding unnecessary contact.

3) Velvety Voice: For years, there was a rumor circulating that claimed Clint patterned his husky voice after Marilyn Monroe's breathy whisper. While he has since laughed off the idea, Clint's quiet delivery was a calculated move to create a more menacing presence. By speaking softly, he forces the audience to lean in and closely listen to his dialogue.

4) Blow It Away: Even though he is known for smoking cigarettes or cigars on the silver screen, Clint is a lifelong non-smoker and prefers to live a healthier lifestyle.

5) Quiet on the Set: When he was a young actor starring in the TV series, 'Rawhide', Clint noticed that whenever certain directors started shooting a scene, they would sometimes shout 'Action!' at the top of their lungs. This noise would often spook the horses, scatter the cattle, and cause chaos on the set. Years later, when Clint became a director, he remembered that experience and deliberately avoided barking commands at the actors. Instead, he has adopted a more low-key approach, beginning each scene with a quiet 'Okay' or 'Whenever you're ready'.

6) Comic Book Connection: The comic-book writer, Frank Miller, once said that his harder-edged version of Batman was partly inspired by Clint Eastwood's portrayal of Dirty Harry. That influence is especially apparent in Frank's 1986 four-part limited series, 'The Dark Knight Returns', in which the fabled masked vigilante is reimagined as a jaded loner who steps in when institutions fail the public.

7) Million Dollar Director: At the age of seventy-four, Clint became the oldest person to win the Best Director Oscar at the Academy Awards. It was for the 2004 film, 'Million Dollar Baby', starring himself, Morgan Freeman, and Hilary Swank.

'Fame: Clint Eastwood' is a biographical comic book written by David Lee Andrews and illustrated by Diego Magno, soon to be published by TidalWave Comics. For further information, please feel free to check out the official website. Or if you prefer, click here to pre-order a copy via Amazon.
