Frenemy of the State
Name of the celebrity: Rashida Jones / Claim to fame: She's the daughter of the legendary musician, Quincy Jones, and an American actress who has starred in a variety of TV shows, including 'The Office' (2006 to 2011) and 'Parks and Recreation' (2009 to 2015). Rashida has also starred in films, most notably 'The Social Network' (2010) and 'Our Idiot Brother' (2011).

Title of the comic book: Frenemy of the State / Co-writers: Christina Weir and Nunzio DeFilippis / Artist: Jeff Wamester / Publisher: Oni Press / Format: Five-issue limited series / Released: May 2010 to December 2011 / Synopsis: At face value, Ariana Von Holmberg is a wealthy socialite who lives a very glamorous lifestyle. Unbeknownst to most of her friends, however, she secretly works as a CIA operative, using her status as a cover to investigate espionage and other acts of deceit. Her life wasn't always like this, though, because everything changed when Ariana was caught breaking into her ex-boyfriend's home and then agreed to work for the CIA to avoid any legal trouble.


M.O.M.: Mother of Madness
Name of the celebrity: Emilia Clarke / Claim to fame: She's an English actress who's probably best known for portraying Daenerys Targaryen in the popular HBO TV show, 'Game of Thrones' (2011 to 2019). Emilia has also starred in a variety of films, ranging from 'Terminator Genisys' (2015) to 'Last Christmas' (2019).

Title of the comic book: M.O.M.: Mother of Madness / Co-writer: Marguerite Bennett / Artist: Leila Leiz / Publisher: Image Comics / Format: Three-issue limited series / Released: July 2021 to October 2021 / Synopsis: Maya is a scientist by day, an unconventional superhero by night, and when she can find the time, she's a single mother navigating the chaos of everyday life. Recently, she has embarked on a dangerous mission to dismantle a secret network of human traffickers, and only fate will determine whether she'll be successful or not.


BRZRKR
Name of the celebrity: Keanu Reeves / Claim to fame: He's a Lebanese-born Canadian actor and musician who famously portrayed several popular cinematic characters, such as Ted 'Theodore' Logan in the Bill & Ted series of films (1989 to 2020), Neo in The Matrix series of films (1999 to 2021), and the titular character in the John Wick series of films (2014 to the present day).

Title of the comic book: BRZRKR / Co-writer: Matt Kindt / Artist: Ron Garney / Publisher: Boom! Studios / Format: Twelve-issue limited series / Released: March 2021 to March 2023 / Synopsis: Berzerker, otherwise known as B, is an immortal half-human, half-god warrior who now works for the U.S. government, carrying out missions too violent and dangerous for anyone else. In return, they've promised to help B uncover the truth about his mysterious origins and find a way to end his existence. But can they?


Kepler
Name of the celebrity: David Duchovny / Claim to fame: He's an American actor, writer, and musician who's generally known for portraying Fox Mulder in the popular TV show, 'The X-Files' (1993 to 2018), as well as Hank Moody in another TV show, 'Californication' (2007 to 2014). David has also starred in films, such as 'Kalifornia' (1993) and 'Evolution' (2001).

Title of the comic book: Kepler / Co-writer: Phillip Sevy / Artist: Phillip Sevy / Publisher: Dark Horse Comics / Format: Graphic novel / Released: November 2022 / Synopsis: On the planet Kepler, where homosapiens went extinct while all other hominid species thrived, the arrival of the benevolent space gods known as the Benadem threatens to plunge the planet into total chaos. That's until West, a sixteen-year-old girl, is thrust into the conflict and becomes the only hope of preventing extinction.
